Event Information
Technical Requirements
As a reminder from the introductory slides, to participate in the funathon you will need:
- A GitHub account and an SSPCloud account (datalab.sspcloud.fr);
- A good internet connection and access to Zoom.
Some familiarity with Python and Git (git clone, git pull, git push) is useful but not mandatory. Detailed solutions are included in each project so that no one gets stuck.
SSPCloud services are ephemeral. Make sure to save your code on GitHub/GitLab and your data on MinIO to avoid losing your work once the funathon is over.
Event Organization
This event will be held online via Zoom. The link to connect is => here <=. The same Zoom link will be used for both days.
Technical support will be available from 9:30am to 5:30pm Paris summer time (UTC+2/CEST) on both days - even if Paris is experiencing one of its most severe and earliest-ever heatwaves (thanks global warming 🌡️). There will be a lunch break between 12pm and 1pm.
Break-Out Rooms
Three break-out rooms will be available, one for each subject.
After the introductory statement, please join the break-out room corresponding to the subject you are working on. You’ll be able to navigate freely between the main room and break-out rooms.
Need Help?
If you encounter any issue during the event, please raise it directly in the break-out room of the subject you are working on. Two staff members will be assigned to each topic and will be available to assist you there.
Please refer to the onboarding session before asking for the staff if you need assistance with setting up your SSPCloud or GitHub account.
If your issue requires more dedicated support, a staff member may invite you to a separate dedicated break-out room to help you resolve it.
We also encourage participants to help each other - feel free to reach out to fellow participants in your break-out room if you think they can assist! There are many participants and a limited number of (🫀physical, not AI 🤖) hands to help you out.
